GUARANTEE AND RETURNS
How long is my styler guaranteed for?
GHD offers a 24 month guarantee with the ghd IV styler collection. Within this period GHD will repair or replace the product. If your styler has become faulty due to incorrect use (please see Product Care for correct usage details below) or accidental damage this will void the warranty.
How do I claim on my guarantee?
In the unlikely event of any appliance proving to be faulty, simply email the Simply Hair and Beauty team for instructions and we will happily handle the warranty process with GHD on your behalf.
Are there any exclusions to the guarantee?
Yes, there are some exclusions to the guarantee. The guarantee will not cover any fault caused through incorrect usage. GHD are unable to cover any fault caused by accidental damage. The guarantee is also void if any repair has been attempted by a third party.
My styler is no longer working, where can I return it?
Simply email the Simply Hair and Beauty team for instructions to simply, safely and securely return your styler. Once instructed by Customer Service please send the faulty item to the following address below.

Are temporary stylers available for loan while my own is being repaired?
Unfortunately we are unable to provide a temporary styler whilst yours is under repair but we will make sure yours are returned as soon as possible.
What is the sell-by-date on my thermodynamics® product?
GHD products do not have a sell-by-date. However, they do have a ‘use after opening’ time-line. You'll find this on the back of the packaging, as either 12m or 24m. This indicates the product must be used within either 12 or 24 months from the date of opening.

How do I look after the cord on my styler?
When your styler has cooled, fold the cord in the same way it was in the original packaging. Try to avoid winding it around your hand or the body of the styler, or hanging your styler by its cord.
How do I clean my styler?
Wipe your styler with a damp, clean cloth to remove any excess products.

DON'T
In order to look after your ghd mark 4 straightener, there are a number of things you should not do with or around them, namely:
1. Be careful not to burn yourself or set fire to your carpet! The plates on the straighteners get to extremely hot temperatures, in excess of 170 degrees Celsius.
2. Do not apply hair spray and hair product directly onto the straightener and hot plates.
Avoid the use of the MK 4 in the bathroom or kitchen and a good rule of thumb is to stay away from water when using them.
3. Children should not use this appliance.
4. Do not wrap the cord of the straightener around your arm, hand or other item when packing it away.
5. Before you plug in and use your ghd mark 4 straightener, you should examine it to check for any damage and in particular to the following key areas: Power cord, plug and plates. If this is the case with your straightener then please contact ghd/Jamella for more information on how to repair the appliance. See our Warranty and returns section below.

1. The ghd mk4 straightener is a technologically advanced product and with attention and care it should last you a very long time, the following is intended to help you achieve a high standard of care for the straightener.
2. Switch your straightener off after use and allow the plates to fully cool down before storing. Unplug it and wrap the cord in the way it was when you first took it out of the packaging. Keep the plates of the straighteners away from touching carpets, plastics and surfaces that can't tolerate excessive heat.
Keep the hot plates of the mark 4 away from the power cord. Do not leave the ghd straightener unattended whilst it is heating up or indeed whilst you are using it. Do not hand the straightener by its power cord when it is being used as this could lead to persons burning themselves or damage to fixtures around your house. Lay the straightener on a heat resistant surface.
